ABOUT THE JOINTS on the LEGO Valkyries: NOTE: Before we disguse about the type of joints, please follow this - When building the joints, experiment with the joint by twisting & turning them, to see if they are either tight or loose. The tighter the joints, the more the model WILL STAY LOCKED in the pose, and the MORE poses you can give it. The joints are built using the following pieces: - 1-sided studs - 4-sided studs - cones - 1-pint cylinders - short antennas - lance weapon stick Let's look at the kind of joints that can be made: BASICS: The average basic joint used for the arms, legs, & waist for an average light-weighted model would be made by: - 1x short antenna - 1x cone (or) cylinder - 2x 1-sided studs BASIC WAIST: This basic waist joint is made only for small models. Here's the contain: - 1x short antenna - 4x 1-sided studs BIG WAIST JOINT: These joints are used for heavy-legged/body models, or delux. The center 4-sided stud is connected at the cockpit area, while the other 2 studs are kept on the legs, at the engine intake: - 1x lance weapon stick - 3x 4-sided studs - 2x cones SHOULDER JOINTS: Tese joints are the connection for the body & upper arms: - 1x short antenna - 2x 1-sided studs - 1x cone - 1x 4-sided stud KNEE JOINTS: These connects the upper & lower legs: - 1x short antenna - 1x cone - 1x 1-sided stud - 1x 4-sided stud REMEMBER: Experiment with the joints, at put in the right parts that will make them tight enough to stay locked in the poses you want. The tighter the joints, the more poses you'll get, & the more the joints will stay locked in place. For comments, e-mail me at either chrisrgay@yahoo.com or at chrisricgay@comcast.net. ...Thanks!
