================ FAQ =============== The latest copy of this FAQ can be found at http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=259882 ==================================== Q: I'm having trouble loading your ldraw models; it says some part models are missing. A: Unfortunately ldraw's part database doesn't have some of the more recent parts that lego has made. As a result I downloaded some of the "unofficial" parts on ldraw.org to fill in the gaps. They can all be found at http://www.ldraw.org/cgi-bin/ptlist.cgi Just download the ones you need into your ldraw/models directory. Or if you want to take the easiest route, you can download the whole batch here: http://www.ldraw.org/library/unofficial/ldrawunf.zip. You may get some junky extra ones as part of the batch, however if you're not planning on building anything yourself in ldraw that would probably be ok. Hopefully ldraw will do another official part release soon and this will no longer be needed. Q: I've found a problem in one of your models, what's the deal? A: During my prototyping process I try to build something that looks good quickly, but isn't actually workable. Then once I'm happy with the overall design, I go back through it and fix any overlaps, missing pieces, etc. Sometimes I'll miss something. If that happens just shoot me an email and I'll fix it. Q: I don't understand this whole ldraw model thing, can you please send me real directions for how to build your gundam. A: LDRAW.org has a number of tutorials for learning how to use the models. With patience you should be able to take apart my models to see how they're built and then put them back together yourself. ldraw will print you out a complete parts list for any model which is a good palce to start. I know it would be a lot easier if I made instructions, but between work and family I just don't have time to do so. I'm sorry.
