In the picture (from left to right): Back row: Sensor suite, Engineering suit, HEV-suit, Hvy. rail gun center: Field surgery kit with cart Front: Spare EVA suits, standard sidearms, Captian's combat suit. the cargo mech has it's own picture Standard equipment: Comabt EVA suits for the marines and commanding officers. Except for some extra pockets for spare ammo clips these are the same as standard EVA suits. Standard EVA suits for everyonve else. Will protect from vaccuum and most toxic gases, but not much else. The marines are armed with rail rifles, the seargent carries a plasma pistol. Their main function is intimidation. Pusle pistols are the standard sidearm for all other members of an away team. Mainly choosen for light weight and small size, not very powerful. Special equipment: HEV suit: sometimes a simple space suit isn't enough. But short of extreme gravity, this suit can protect the wearer against anything most planets can throw at him. Comes with special geiger counter and toximeter. ------------ Engineering suit: This suit contains a database that can display most known physical data and a large number of blueprints onto a HUD in the helmet. It also comes with a tool kit in the backpack and a diagostic device that has compatibilty adapters for most computer systems. All this is useless if you don't have any engineering training though... ------------- Mobile field surgery kit: An integrated diagnostic unit detects the cause of harm/pain of the the patient and immediatly provides the medic with the right drugs and suggestions for further treatment. A small stasis emitter stabilises the patient for short emergency surgery if neccessary, even on a battlefield. The device is big and heavy though, so it comes with it's one cart (slow as it may be, it beats carrying the thing!), though it isn't very useful in difficult terrain. ------------ Portable Sensor suite: A scietists dream! Anything that is even remotely related to the known laws of physics is detactable by this piece of high tech, as long as it is in range and you have someone who can decrypt the spreadsheets full of numbers and greek letter it usually spits out --------------- Heavy rail rifle: Sometimes you need more power than is easily carried by one man. This collpaseble rail gun is just what you need if you have three men to carry it and a minute to set it up. ------------ Light cargo mech: This one man bipedal vehicle posseses two loading claws for carrying heavy objects and two cutting blades for cutting open sealed crates. It sometimes is an invaluable tool for opening blocked passages. It is usually carried aboard the Milkbar as it is too big to be carried by any other landing craft.
