A pair of dimensional travelers, Komaru and Marama (normally known as Ivanova and Ryle) often find themselves needing to blend in with the natives. And so it was that they took the forms of the Toa Metru.
In her Metru form, Komaru wields a wicked scythe, and can easily chop down anything that stands in her way. A black and silver mottled body and mask, not to mention her dark green eyes, make her easily recognizable. On her hands are a pair of blunted claw gloves, excellent for pummeling her enemies. Komaru is a bit on the wacky side, throwing caution to the wind and throwing herself head first (giggling madly all the way) into trouble.
Marama is her complete opposite. With a gold and white body and mask, ice blue eyes, and a hefty bow (not to mention arrows), Marama is the more responsible of the pair. He is the only one who is able to keep the wild Komaru under control. He tends to be quiet and thoughtful, and exceedingly patient. Life with Komaru requires a lot of patience.
They say that opposites attract, and such is the case with Komaru and Marama. While it would seem impossible that they could ever get along, you will never find a more co-operative pair. Together they are a symbol of unity and balance: each a half of the whole.
