Name: Klettermax "Climbing Max" Weight: 1800 g Height: 41 cm Lenght: 28 cm Width: 22 cm Step: Height: 19 cm Depth: 25 cm Time: 31 min 55 sek Klettermax consists of three parts: - elevator shaft: It's a gantry with four pillars. Each has a row of teeth. It's driven by a motor mounted on the top. If the motor turns right, the elevator shaft drives forward. If it turns left, the shaft turns right. Two RCX are mounted on the top, too, to shift the COG to the front. The upper RCX is the control unit. The lower one is only a weight. - cabin It can drive up and down in the elevator shaft using one motor. On the bottom two trackages are fastened - car It has two motors. The one lets the car drive forward and backward on the trackages. The other one drives the whole Klettermax forward and backward. How does it work? (picture number) 1. The cabin drives to the top (1-3) 2. The whole Klettermax drives to the nosing (4) 3. The car drives to the front, over the step (5) 4. The motor of the cabine drives into the other direction, forcing the shaft to lift. (6-7) 5. At the top, the car drives back into the elevator, but, because its wheels touch the step, the elevator is drawn to the car (8-9) 6. Now it starts from the beginning (10) 7. On the fourth step, the motor on the shaft turns left, and so the whole elevator. It makes a 360° turn. (11-13) 8. It climbs down, the same as up. (9-1)
