Cripple Critter is my first walker I have ever built with Lego mindstorms. I prefered wheels all the time, because I have never been interested in walking bots or complex movement mechanisms. But I got over my phoia and createt a SIMPLE bot with two legs on both sides one, which can move him forward and backward. When it has to turn, it waits until all its legs are in the air and then it turns on its third leg - a lying wheel. This mechanism is very stabil, but it makes the bot very slow. I need 1:30 for a course, not the new WR, but it follows the line very precisely. It's not the best bot I've ever made, but I think that I should be a motivation for other to send in their nonprofessional bots. :P
