This is my entry for the Mercedes-Benz Truck of the future challenge, where you should create truck of the year 2045.

My vision for that truck is that truck is driver-less, powered by electricity, and is built from modules.

Main module is Base Unit. It is a self contained axle. Each wheel is driven and steered in any direction, it can steer and drive even sideways. 

Base Units can transport containers in various configuration, and maneuver them on the spot, thanks to all directional steering. 

It can be attached to another one and make a tandem axles or tripled or more. Or just two tandems on each side for extra large containers.

Additional module is Crew Cabin module, for transporting  crew, if needed, and to provide aerodynamic cover for a cargo - container.
