In the mediaeval times pilgrims journeys were very popular. Hundreds of kilometers were covered to reach a holy place for envisioning the divine.

There were three big destinations Rome of course, Santiago de Compostella, and Jerusalem. The pilgrims brought back souvenirs like a metal key from Rome, a shell from Santiago de Compostella, and a palm leaf from Jerusalem.

In this MOC three pilgrims from the three destinations meet right in front of the Alps.
