The purpose of the Longinus project was to build a heavily-armed Assyrian SHIP.
The Longinus I barely met the 100-stud requirement, and was rather flimsy.
Additionally, the name suggusts a fast-attack craft while the engines on the Longinus I were terribly undersized for such a task.
The Longinus I would be re-built into the Longinus II.
