And so Onua began: "Well, this is what I remember. I was with Tahu and Pohatu behind a rock, getting ready to ambush-" He paused. "Well, that black and yellow chap. You know the one." The other Toa nodded. "Good. Well for now, I'll refer to him as Pinky." Lewa snorted. "Anyway," Onua continued, "it was Tahu and Pohatu and I behind a rock. Tahu jumped down with his Miru and Pohatu followed, but when I went to jump, I relized my foot was stuck under a root. I pulled it lose, but as I did, Pinky appeared out of no where right beside me. I ran out from one side of the rock, and Pinky ran out of the other side. Then I tripped and hit my head on a rock. I must have blacked out, because when I woke up, Pinky was down in Ga-Koro. Then, I jumped down, but I heard a noise and felt an intense pain in chest, then everything went black..." "That's it?" Tahu asked, speaking for all of them. "How did you come back?" Onua sighed. "Well, I don't remember how I came back." There was a groan form all the Tohunga and Toa. "But..." "BUT WHAT?!" Everyone said in unison. "Whenua told me what happend. He said that Maku saw me get shot and went imediatly to Onu-Koro. Whenua, Onepu, Taipu, and Hafu all came to Ga-Koro with Maku. Whenua said that he found my body lying there. So he, Onepu, and the rest heaved me into Maku's boat and sailed off north. He would not tell me where north he went. All I know was it wasn't to a place on Mata-Nui." "You mean there are other islands?" Gali asked. "Yes. This island was not Mata-Nui. Anyway, all I could get out of him was this: 'I will not tell you where you went, but I'll tell you this, as you have a right to know. I took you to the Oracle. The Oracle can bring the dead back to life, but it can also bring evil spirits into this world, if not carefully used. You see, long ago, before Tohunga came, there was a different spieces living here. However, an evil War Lord attacked them from a nearby island. A great war was fought, but the other spieces, the Gungal they were called, were losing. 'In a last ditch effort, all the great beings of the Gungal created the Oracle. They put it on the island from witch the evil War Lord and his army came. Finaly, the Gungal were defeated, and no Gungal survived. The War Lord had no mercy and slew all of them in cold blood. The years following were not pretty. It was known as the Dark Ages, and for good reason. Because all good creatures lay slain, the world fell into an enternal eclipse. It was always dark. Finaly, the War Lord-' And here I interupted. 'Doesn't this War Lord have a name?' I asked him. And he said: 'Well, yes. I was hoping you wouldn't ask, because his name was, is, and will be evil. His name is Harumagedon*, witch means Armageddon, witch is what he was and still is.' 'Still is?" I asked. 'But surely he is dead?' 'No, he lives, if he ever lived at all. He has no soul, witch makes him impossible to kill.' 'Then what happened to him?' 'I was getting to that. Finaly, Armageddon-' 'Wait, wait. I thought his name was Harumagedon...' 'It is. But he was more commonly known as Armageddon, as anyone who called him Harumagedon was givin one days head start, then hunted down and cruely slain after torture. Anyway, Armageddon finaly returned to his island, but it was a trap. The Oracle, witch was placed there by the Gungal, opened and drew in all the dark army. For the Oracle is really a gateway from the living to the dead. That's how we brought you back, Onua. We found your soul and returned it to your body.' 'So that was the end of the dark army?' 'Yes... I hope...'" The Toa sat in silence a while, sizeing up what this meant. But then Pohatu jumped up and said; "Why are we worried? This was a long time ago right? Why should we worry about that?" "Because the dark army is still... Alive." Everyone in the room turned and there stood Matau. Lewa scowled. "But they can't get here. They're all locked up." A few Le-Koronans nodded in agreement. "No," Matau said, "for they can be released. All one has to do is open the Oracle and all evil spirits that ever roamed Mata-Nui would be free." "But what of good spirits? Whenua revived Onua, why can't he bring back Mata-Nui or some other warrior of old?" Kopaka asked. "Mata-Nui is not dead. And as for this 'warrior of old', there is no way to tell a evil spirit from a good one." Once again silence fell over the room. But not for long. CRUNCH!!!!! WHOOOMPFF!!!!! Kopaka jumped up. "They're here!" To be Continued... *Harumagedon (Har-oo-mah-ged-on)
