CHASED BY THE GHOST NURSE (#4 in a series of 5) _____________________________________________ Kabaya Ghost Stories Copyrighted Takaki Yamamoto 2004. Originally written and created by Takaki Yamamoto. Lego vignette version created by Patrick Yrizarry 2004. _____________________________________________ STORY: The following story is a work of fiction and is not based on any actual people or events. CHASED BY THE GHOST NURSE One night, a little 5th grade boy, who shall be referred to as "T", and his friends decided to sneak into their school campus to look around and cause trouble. The young students went into every room in the school except for the chemistry class. They did not enter this room because they were afraid of a swaying, life-sized human skeleton model which hung in one corner of the room. Deciding that he was braver than his friends, "T" went into the chemistry room first. His friends followed after him. Inside the dark room, "T" and his classmates could barely see anything, but suddenly they heard a noise. It sounded like the wheels of a cart being pushed down the hallway. When they turned around the boys were surprised to see the ghost of a woman in a nurse's uniform pushing a cart that was covered with a sheet! The children saw that extruding from under the sheet were human arms and legs and they was so frightened that they ran away! "T" was so afraid that he outraced his friends and soon was separated from them. Not knowing what to do or where to go, "T" ducked into a nearby restroom, entered the last toilet stall, slammed the door and locked it behind him. Keeping very quiet, "T" listened to the slow sound of the cart wheels as they came to the restroom entrance. He heard the door open, and he begun to pray to God for help. The cart slowly preceded down the row of toilet stalls, and "T" could hear the ghost stop at each door and open them in search of him. After each stall door was opened he heard an woman's voice saying, "Not here!" As the ghost came closer and closer to the last stall where he hid, "T" became so afraid that he passed out in the corner of the stall just below the door! "T" did not know how long he had been asleep, but when he awoke he noticed the first rays of the sun begin to slip in through a bathroom window. Morning was here, and "T" became confident that his nightmare had ended. He slowly and quietly arose. But he heard a sound come up from above him. As "T" lifted his head he saw the ghost nurse above him, her body draped over the door and her hands reaching at him! Her horribly ugly face stared at him and she said, "You looked up! You weren't supposed to look up!" The End. _____________________________________________ BACKGROUND: These Lego vignettes were based on a Japanese 'candy-toy' which I found in a local Japanese grocery store in the fall of 2004. The toys were crafted by Takaki Yamamoto, a talented Japanese artist who also wrote the stories for each scene. Each box came with a random toy, a piece of chewing gum and a folded card with the story of the ghostly vignette scene. An elderly female neighbor originally from Japan translated the stories for me to the best of her abilities, but she can not speak English very well and I added a bit more to the stories for effect, so I know some parts of some of the stories were not properly translated. If anyone can read Japanese and is interested, please e-mail me at good.fortune@verizon.net. I can scan and e-mail the story booklet to you and if you help me with any major problems I have in my translation, I can redo these read-me files and will mention your name in them. Thank you.
