My Impression of a large lego crane.
The superstructure is from a crawler crane, but because of the weakness of the crawlers, I’m building the same crane on a steady 4-legged pod.

This is my third crane I’m building with lego. The weak-point where my turntable and superstructure.
The inspiration to continue came from www.texbrick.com, a site from technic-fan and AFOL Mr. TJ Avery. So many of my ideas are really his ideas and I changed them a bit. 

Large structures = large problems;

1 The turn-table is the most difficult part of all, so I’m still working on that. I used Mr. Avery his idea of a large roller-bearing.
2 Winches : 
When you use a single rope winch, it has the downside of pulling you’re hook or boom to one side .
The solution is a winch with two parts, so you pull the rope in on two sides at once: the boom or hook stays level all the time.
