SHADO Interceptor
UFO Series

I had a green die cast version of this when I was young and it suffered some terrible abuse.  I 
felt I had to make some sacrifice to the great toy god and make a version to remember it by.  The 
colour of this model is based on the original series, though the canopy is blue as a tribute to
my original toy (and that is all I had anyway).  Not sure why the die cast was green (with orange legs!) 
but there you go, still a classic.

Credit to shinyafujita on brickshelf for inspiration on the design and proving that such a curvey ship 
really is doable in lego.  I have had plans to build one of these for a while, but couldn't quite get it.  
Mine is a bit different in the front section as I have tried to get the nose sticking out a bit more.  
The landing gear is tough as there are no real lego 'ski's big enough to do them justice.  I'll keep 
looking in this space.

I am also working on the SHADO Mobile Unit, and now want to do versions that actually fire the 
missiles, just like my toy from long ago...
