These are some of the more recent droids that I have created. Many of them use the new 1x2 plate with a horizontal bar found in the new Millenuim Falcon set. I've wanted Lego to make this very piece since I started creating my first droids in 1996. Since 1996 I have endeavored to build droids that resemble minifigs, but do not use actual minific parts, with the exception of minifig gear. I have developed many different designs, all with a useful purpose as described below. All my droids are classified with the prefix G, which stands for the generetion of droid followed by a number which orders them from earliest to latest. Each generation of droid is given a new number when it incorporates an advancement of design unique from any previous droid. Subgenerations, specified with a decimal and another number indicate the development of a new droid that mostly resembles a previous generation, but is now more advanced. Descriptions: The G-1.3 is a newer version of my very first droid. It has advanced arms with a wide range of movement and new legs made with the new piece from the Millenium Falcon. The backpack stores extra power. This is a common and easy drois to manufacture. The G-3.2 is an advancement of the G-3 and also has new arms and legs. They are very new and their popularity has not yet been determined. The G-4 is the latest droid. It uses the least amount of pieces. It also uses some of the rarer parts and is very rugged. These droids are mostly used for the surface exploration of other worlds. They are also ideal for setting up habitats and colonies in preparation for minifigs and can maintain these installations when there are no minifigs. Because of their size and design they can be adapted to almost any environment or task. The Gungan assasin droid was created for the sole purpose of exterminating the Gungan infestation. Because he looks like a Gungan they don't realize his intentions until it is too late. The last droid is simply a minifig version of "robot" from the old Lost in Space series. I think its pretty cool.
