By Erik AMZALLAG legoderik@fr.st http://www.legoderik.fr.st (soon in english) 03/28/2002 WHY 12V?? I never turned my 12V railway layout into 9V system. I believe that 12V Lego trains were more complet. There were lots of remote controls that we have not with the 9v trains : Remote Control Electric Point (7858, 7859) Remote Controlled Signal (7860) Remote Controlled Decoupler (7862) Level Crossing with Electric Gates (7866) ... For ten years, I've waited that we have all these remote controls before to convert me to 9V. But today I believe that it's a dream. I don't know if Lego tried or has the project to make these, but I hope. I think there is a big market for it, even if the French market (I'm French) is less important than the American or German market (we never had the set 2126 by exemple). Today, I refuse to buy the sets 4558 or the differents freight trains, because I could not build a big, unique and complet railway layout, even if 9V trains seem to go faster and better than 12V and I know I'm missing great trains, furthermore I can buy no more extension sets for my 12V trains. So my currently situation desappoints me :-( Erik
