This is my version of a pitching machine. It consist of a moving base on with a rotating and tilting turret on. The turret shoots 6 long axels. This will happen thanks to a 'feeding'-mechanism that feeds axels between the wheels that spins with high speed. I have used 3 RCX's. One in the base for controling the wheels and to rotate the turntable. And two in the top, one is used only for the spinning of the wheels and the last is used for the feeding mechanism and the tilt of the pitcher. There are touch sensors in the rear and front bumbers on the base, possibly I will incororate a light sensor too so I can make it follow a line or a touch sensor to keep track of the direction on the turret. Sensors are also used for the tilt mechanism. One sensor is used to count how many axals has been fed to the wheels. I still have some 'programming' left before it's ready for a full scale test run! Report will follow... :) ----------------------------------------------------------- Idea from SRL - Survival Research Labs: http://www.srl.org/ Please take a look at: http://www.srl.org/machines/pitching/ //ham@manni.se
