hi all, my name is Picalausa Jelle,I live in Belgium near Brussels I'm 14,5 years old and my hobby's are planespotting and atlethics I like airplanes ,and I know almost everything about them... I'm a planespotter at brussels airport together with my brother who has the same hobby as me as you all already have seen I like to build airplanes in lego and of course as real as it gets... if you would like to build an airplane in lego the scale I should recommend is 1/45 because: if you calculate that a real human is 1m80 and a minifigure is 4 cm the scale is approximally 1/45... and now the airplane: the avro is the biggest airplane I ever build but it will not be the biggest for long time... A real avro rj 85 its lenght is 28 m and its span is 26 m,its height is 8m50 the avro that I build is the Delta Air Transport (regional airline of the bancrupt SABENA witch new name now is SN Brussels airlines...) Qualiflyer colorshemed oo-djq the specifications of the lego airplane: lenght:72 cm span:65 cm height:24 cm weight:2,6 kg it has all the flaps that a real avro has and he isn't on scale 1/45,the avro must be 10 cm shorter to reach to scale 1/45, but you probably saw that already on the picture with the minifigures...(the nice pushback truck on that picture is a remake of the yellow pushback truck by Ulrich Meyer who I'm very thankfull for that...it's a really nice pushbacktruck!!) also the avro has been thru a few changes since I first build it... it has now complete new spoilers ,height ruders and a new flap leader system, also the new engine inlets with the little fan blades from the white lego airplane engines I hope you all enjoy my new pictures of the improved avro... regards, Pic.J. email: jelle_pic@yahoo.com
