Gyro gets its name from its walking mechanism. It uses 
a mechanical linkage that mimics the effect of a gyro 
stabilization system and keeps the upper torso parallel 
to the ground while the rest of the walker leans side to 
side, keeping the center of gravity over the foot that's 
on the ground. Its walking mechanism is quite compact 
and I've clocked it at approximately 9 feet per minute.
