A work in progress. Inspired by the ideas and plans of the Cathedral of Ice posted by bhamilto1 and kinda just started building. Front door area is under major redesign as I want to keep the 1x1 and 2x2 round brick theme, yet maintain a gothic look to the towers. Playing around with ideas for keeping the spiral staircases in the tower as I like buildings that include "working" interiors. The large holes in the transcept ends are for the stained glass windows. They were installed at one time, but during the last redesign I removed them for easier access to the interior. Built on 2 48x48 baseplates. If I could start over I would have raised the floor level up at least 1 brick so that I could get a nice stair case leading to the front doors...oh well hindsight and all. I have been considering building a second version for sale, but it would be rather expensive as I seem to have cornered the world market on some of the essential pieces. Next project after this is to build a complete railway depot with train shed, modelled after Chicago's Dearborn Street Station. kc130Flyer@hotmail.com
