This is my vision of a CWCS (Component Wall Castle System) applied to the Great Wall of China which I then call the Great Wall Component System (GWCS). The term CWCS was coined by Richard Schamus who has done a lot of CWCS for Euro castles on his web page. Also, credit goes to my brother KC Quah who gave me copies of the pics of the real Great Wall of China when he was there in Feb 2000. The mountain beacon tower is based on one of the pics he took. I have put together pics of 2 variations and some extras. GW1 (a-h) are pictures of the Great Wall with the mountain tower close to the Jade Gate Fort. It is 11 green base plates + one gray base plate long or 125 inches (over 10 ft) GW2 (a-b) is a second variation of the Great Wall with the mountain beacon tower in the middle. GW3 was just a cool shot of the Great Wall winding its way across the landscape/carpetscape. Incidentally, even though I can join the pieces end to end with the way I made them, it was nicer to deliberately offset the green baseplates without joining them to give a more interesting effect to the Great Wall.
