The Railfreight Class 56 started out 6-wide and
train-baseplate length, but I was never happy with it.
After seeing Mark Bellis's fine 8-wide trains (also of
UK prototypes), I rebuilt the 56 to 8-wide and
approximately O guage and this is the result. The
bogies shown are accurate but won't go around corners,
but I also built an alternative set which do, and
include a standard motor bogie so the loco runs, but
look less prototypical.
