Introduction for non-Norwegians :) ---------------------------------- Preparing special theme-busses (so called "Russebuss") is a tradition among Norwegian high-school graduates, where they compete over who has the best bus, the best show and, what is most important, the loudest sound system. The busses then drive around making sure that normal citizens can't get enough sleep from end of April to 17th of May, which is the Norwegian national day. Playroom is one of such busses :) Description ----------- Playroom-guys have chosen LEGO as their main theme and asked me to help them with interior decoration which is almost fully covered with LEGO (a LOT of it!). The end result was a bus filled with over 40000 LEGO plates and bricks in various sizes. The walls are covered with about 12000 red 4x8 plates on top of baseplates. There are two mosaics, 2 logos (a small one made of plates, 1m long, and a big one made of bricks, 3m long), a big waving Norwegian flag, a smiley, a shipwreck-themed vitrine, some beer-shaped LEGO-bottles, and a part of wall covered with all their names. And yes, the driver's area is also quite LEGO-ised :) Unfortunately, some LEGO had to be sacrifised to achieve full coverage (I approved cutting 32x32 baseplates into other standard sizes, but they went boldly one step further... which in the end actually resulted in lack of material). As far as I know, LEGO is fully aware of what is going on, and I am sure this gives them a lot of publicity (mostly positive ;) ), something they do need on the otherwise relatively badly covered Norwegian market.
