This design is based on a standard gauge Ruston & Hornsby DS48 shunter, and although small, is actually slightly over-scale – especially lengthwise! That said, I don’t think it’s feasible to reduce the length without loosing structural integrity. There are already a few dubious attachments – especially the tiles covering the motor bogie and part of the footplate. The CAD file should make this all clear – and is stepped to allow reconstruction if desired! While largely my own design, inspiration for the buffer beams was found here: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=1206258 Any comments, please e-mail me at mrrjbrown1@hotmail.com
