S.A.B.S. PRTYPE 01 semi articulated bridge syste. The rover base bushs the bridge forward untill it falls in the hole. locator pins hold it up by counter balancing by the rcx. on the other side the pins move over the first buper and hit the high one ( because its in the hole) and lift it up an out. the bridge base will eventually be bevilled so it can pull out of the hole. this is an ongoing design challange to build a simple bridge deployment and retrival system for domestic robots to navigate urban enviroments. Ithink it will even transverse slopes and single steps with the addition of a lifting mechanism on the bridge. mongke 2004 c terraform.
