RADIANT IV

(halfway refurbished Republic Cruiser)

Story: 
After the Clone Wars and consequent break up of the republic, previously
civilian, jedi, and security vessels were put into use by rebel forces, 
some more succesfully than others. A reasonably successful example is 
that of the Radiant IV used years before by lower ranking Jedi diplomats.
Its now improper scarlet exterior was painted over, basic forward lasers 
and proximity torpedos were added until it could be fully refurbished at 
a secret rebel location where its communication array would be replaced 
by rotating turbolaser turrets and a powerful deflector shield generator.

Commanded by Captain Sena Mitsui, it is used as a training vessel for
pilots wishing to move onto larger Corellian Corvettes until its refit 
will allow it some frontline duty. 

The Making of:
Took around 3 months to make on and off. Supporting the engines is the 
main bugbear of this model like the RBR.

Final Specs:
96 studs long
56 studs wide
2 pilots, crew of 2 to 12
Mid section top comes off, forward pilot area opens up
Front cylinder escape ship detaches, escape pods held by magnets
Retractable Landing gear, but I think the ships too heavy for me to dare 
to use it!
Side doors open with retractable ladders. 

Future:
Engines should be a bit bigger to make it like the Radiant VII
Redo the front landing gear to make it more robust.

Current Projects:
Imperial landing pad + back entrance + forest + ewoks, Tie rack,
transformers?
