I went to the KUBE LEGO Architecture party Friday (10/25/2013). It was nice and fun, also light-duty. They served fancy cheese, bread, fruit, wine, and beer. As an intro, the company owner made a presentation about one of their client basement remodelings. For the party event, there were about 3 tables, each with a LEGO architecture set. A bunch of folks sat at each table. The goal for each person was to build a tower. We were each tasked to come up with 3 working model prototypes quickly. We had to share the pieces between us, so selection was limited, but not too badly. Next, each person selected their own prototype they liked best, and then built a full model. After a few minutes, we had to hand our model to the person on our left to continue building. Then everybody handed them back to the person on their right and continued where the other person left off. Finally, pictures were taken. Some folks liked the results of "help" from other people, others, like myself, did not, as my model moved in a different direction entirely. BUT it was still fun. AND I have some ideas of stuff to build at home too. No, we did not get to keep the LEGO, although I almost did by pocketing pieces that kept falling off when transporting the model to be photo'ed. Fortunately I remembered to put them back into the pile. :-)
