The idea for this model came about 6 years ago when I was watching a Discovery documentary about the Apache. The idea of having two canopies inspired me and I started building. Now, 6 years later, after some Lego Dark Ages, it's more or less finished.

First it had two "short"canopies (like the navigator-canopy), just a bunch of bricks on the location of the turbine engines and fixed front wheels. During the first remodelling I changed the back to a bulky storage-space. That's why the helicopter still is hollow on the inside. After the second remodelling the helicopter had a normal colourscheme (white, it was red, black and white mixed together) and a third canopy on the storage area. The last remodelling gave the helicopter an extended pilot-canopy, turbine engines and "retractable" frontwheels.
The colourscheme still isn't optimal, but it's because of my laziness it hasn't changed yet. The realmodel also has four flexible hoses coming from the turbine engines to other parts of the helicopter, but I still don't know how to use hoses in MLCAD and/or LSynth properly.
