Databank Epsilon wing. Class: racer Origin: Tatooine Affilation: Mos Eisly Racing Corp Dimensions: 4.5 meters long, 6 meters wide (1 pod is 1.5 meters wide) Time period: 25 BY The podraces on Tatooine were such a big succes, and aspecialy after a human had won, that people who had some knowledge of building speeders constructed their own racers. A group of these builders formed a club which later evolved into the Mos Eisly Racing Corp. The MERC constructs custom racers, fit to fly in settlements and then races eachother. One of their few production models is this twin pod racer, the Epsilon Wing, named after it's designer Harald Epsilon, who died during test runs. The 2 pods on the sides of the speeder are held on thier place by a frame of A-shaped bars, which can move, and change the angle of the pod. The engines are basic thruster engines, equiped with repulsorcoils to keep the them in flight at low speeds. The pilot sits in the middle pod, behind a glass canopy. In this pod sits the battery packs and 2 small thrust engines. A small storage comparment is located behind the pilot. If an engine is damaged during a race and it will probably explode before the racer can be stopped and the pilot evacuated, the engines can be jetisoned. The bars releas and the small thurst engines in the pilot pod ignite, shooting the pilot far away from the crashing engines.
