This fighter craft was used to protect the capital of Corusant during the time that the seperists were becoming a serious threat fo the Republic. They would be stationed in flights bases on the equator and launched into space if a threat appeared.

The ships is basicly a large flying canon. 4 large canons face forward, each with enormous power. The shocks and blasts of the weapons make this ship dificult to fly, so an astromech is asigned to help with navigation.

The pilot lies on it's back so G-forces can be better controlled. The large cockpit gives him a large view. Small holoprojecters in nthe front display any needed information.

The engines are 2 powerfull thrust engines, with a special cooling unit at the back. Assisted with 2 large flaps, which pitch during manouvers, the ship can make sharp turns and easlily stabelise.

During the clone wars, most of these ships were replaced by Zeta wings and orbital turrets.
