Syd was the girl working the drill when the Copper Queens accidentally busted through the 
subfloor of the coliseum during a giant robot rollerderby match. instantly enamored with the
speed and violence, suddenly dynamite baseball and rockslide surfing lost their fun.

The Queens finally asked Teri about her past concerning derby, and she reluctantly began
to train them with Syd as a co-captain. the miners threw themselves into it with gusto, some
polishing their armor to a blinding copper sheen, others taking pride in the rust and dents 
that signified a true hard working 'bot.

Syd uses her hydraulically-articulated bulldozer claws to vicious effect, ripping her way through
solid rock and opposing blockers alike. the resounding "Kalang" of a Syd Rock backhand is 
unmistakeable. for jammers a bit too far ahead, she uses a grappling chain to wrangle them 
back. her spring-loaded shock heeled skates allow her to jump in the path of oncoming jammers,
or out of the way of a rampaging blocker with ease.
