People who exist-- the real-life announcers and DJs who make each game awesome. they don't know I've made minifigs of them, though. ^^;; (so I claim no ownership of them.) Downtown Dave--announcer. smartass and all-around amusing guy. The Inimitable Serge-- sooner or later, I'll give the minifig a better suit. he shows up to every match in a right snappy looking tweed (I think) suit and lends his keen observations and random musings to the match. DJ Kim Sin-- The girl who brought flat-track rollerderby into my town. formerly team captain of the Furious Truckstop Waitresses, she now works behind the scenes spinning the punk rock and other music to keep the energy going. she's also pretty much in charge of everything. Random people-- this is the bunch I've created to fill out the cast. except Ginny. she's JK Rowling's. Angry Old Man Willis-- no one knows where this man came from, or why he's so dang cantankerous. he's the head of security around the mech hangars and during games, and also the janitor. THE janitor. maybe that's why he's so cranky. Guy generic-- he only shows up when absolutely needed, like to test a mech when the pilot's not around. none too interesting, that guy. Ginny Weasley-- Ginny fell through a malfunctioning portal/closet/thingy and landed on the island with no idea how to get back. Luckily, she hooked up with the Metru Nuva Rollerderby crew and her limited knowledge of magic has proved quite useful. Slash--Head mechanic, gearhead, and archetypal luckless romantic. the girls tolerate him constantly, amusingly, and unsuccessfully hitting on them because he always pulls through with a last-minute engine tweak or on-the-fly repair when a medimech is out of the question. Zips-- an acronym for "Personal Information Zoids." (because I think PIZ sounds goofy.) every pilot, mechanic, and sundry member of the rollerderby league has one, or two if you're Kim Sin. these bots posess limited AI, and usually carry important messages and information back and forth. Zips are often modified. Rollermech pilots' zips carry a small holo-projector that displays their name, team number and other useful stats when attatched to a mech. Serge and Downtown Daves' carry microphones. Kim Sins' double as record styluses. we're not quite sure what Angry Old Man Willis' does, but we're certain it involves alcohol.
