FADE IN: SPACE Begins with total blackness, we see the planet AQUA-MAGNA coming into form, a crescent shape of light forms around the side of the planet, we plunge into the thick atmosphere. SKY Submerged in clouds, we travel through them until at last we get a glorious birds-eye view of the island of MATA-NUI, somewhat dim in the sundown sky, yet the shape is unmistakable. After lingering above the island for a moment, the camera then rapidly zooms to the mid-eastern part of the island, towards the shores of TA-WAHI. The adventure has begun! TA-WAHI SHORE Waves crash along the shore, Camera flies over great Telescope, then pans along the shore, large rock formations can be seen at he edge of the beach, The sky is lit a brilliant bright orange in the sunlit sky. In the distance we can see a canister, and the vague form of TAHU laying on the ground in front of it. An extreme closeup on TAHU'S eye as it suddenly opens. TAHU TAHU stands up, he appears as a silhouette against the bright sunset sky. The orange light flickers off the waves. He regards his canister, it is worn, rusted and covered in scratches and crevices. He then looks towards the horizon, he gases at the sunlight reflecting off the endless ocean that seems to go on forever. He looks behind to see a flame shaped sword. TAHU Huh? TAHU picks it up, and awkwardly swings it around, it is clear that the sword is too heavy for him in his weak state. Disappointed, he lowers the sword then looks the other direction In the distance, a mask can be seen laying in the sand, TAHU's silhouette form switches into focus as he walks towards the mask and picks it up. TAHU Hmm. He inspects the inside of the mask then places it too his face, upon contact of the mask with his face, power surges through TAHU the grayish blotches on his armor disappear and color flows through him, His sword starts to glow. TA-WAHI SHORE A Camera flashes to a different part of the shore, a short being by the name of TAKUA walks out from behind a rock formation holding his head as if he is in pain, he curiously walks towards TAHU's canister an looks inside it. He sees TAHU's footprints and follows them until he arrives at a Lava flow. to see TAHU walk right into it. TA-WAHI SHORE-LAVA FLOW TAHU's outline can barley be seen against the smoke and steam billowing from where the lava meets the ocean. Camera switches to right in front of TAHU can barley be seen, his sword lit, he marvels at his own power. TAKUA cautiously approaches. TAHU senses TAKUA presence and steps backwards, his back now far enough away from the smoke that he can be seen, he slowly turns his head towards TAKUA, his body now in full view. [OPENING TITLES] The screen fades to black, The words "BIONICLE" in white letters fade into the center followed by the words "BIOlogical chroNICLE" TA-WAHI SHORE-LAVA FLOW A wide shot of TAKUA and TAHU can be seen as they stare at each other until TAHU turns away and continues, disappearing into the smoke. Camera rapidly zooms through the smoke and follows TAHU as he journeys into the charred forest. CHARRED FOREST-TAHU TAHU walks through the charred forest, a thick forest made up of burnt dead trees,The sky has darkened to night and the air is thick with fog, making it difficult too see beyond a few meters ahead.  As TAHU walks through a FIKOU comes out of nowhere startling TAHU. He lights his FIRESWORD scaring the creature away. TAHU continues stumbling through the forest until he comes upon a pathway. CHARRED FOREST-JALLER'S GROUP Light can be seen bleeding through the trees, camera pans to a group of four TA-MATORAN huddling around a dim fire, only their outlines and their luminous eyes can be see.  The cracking of branches be heard and the leader MATORAN, JALLER looks over a log for the source of the noise. JALLERS eyes open wide, the form of Tahu comes into veiw. Cut to TAHU, walking slowly and carefully through the forest, his sword glowing illuminating the way when he hears rusting ahead of him. He stops for a moment then continues TAHU approaches the MATORAN when all of a sudden he makes a wrong step and is captured in a trap made of branches encloses around him. Three MATORAN jump out from behind the log wielding sharp pitchfork-like weapons followed by another slower member of the group. JALLER We got it! We got it! The MATORAN rejoice for a few seconds, but their success was short lived. TAHU ignites his fire sword, flames emanate from it. Wit hone swipe TAHU destroys the trap. A MATORAN wearing a red MIRU whispers to himself in astonishment. AGNI (Exclaims to himself) Mata-nui! The MATORAN surround TAHU, their weapons ready to strike, TAHU again ignites his sword and swipes it towards the matoran, warning them to stay back. The MATORAN whisper to each other. KAPURA (whispers) What kind of RAHI is that? One MATORAN wearing a red KAKAMA gets too close to TAHU and TAHU swings his sword in the MATORAN's direction narrowly missing him. The MATORAN jumps back. JALLER takes this distraction to his advantage and prepares to throw his spear at TAHU We switch to TAHU's point of view as The MATORAN halt and move out of the way as their elder, TURAGA VAKAMA walks towards him. We switch to VAKAMA's perspective, TAHU lowers his sword but does not extinguish it, he still in not sure of the newcomer's intentions. We go back to TAHU's perspective as VAKAMA looks up, his eyes in disbelieve. VAKAMA'S hoarse voice speaks out. VAKAMA TAHU. VAKAMA's eyes then twinkle with happiness. VAKAMA How long we have awaited for your arrival. VAKAMA bows down towards TAHU, much to the surprise of TAHU, and the MATOTAN, to a lesser degree. The MATORAN put away their weapons and bow their heads in respect to TAHU. TAHU extinguishes his sword, realizing the MATORAN are not a threat after all. The camera zooms to TAHU's face, confused as ever. CHARRED FOREST-PATH TO THE MANGAI VOLCANO The group walks through a path in the charred forest, symbols are put on the trees to show direction. JALLER leads the group accompanied closely by his fellow MATORAN (Except for KAPURA of course). TAHU and VAKAMA follow, while KAPURA dawdles behind. VAKAMA converses with TAHU. VAKAMA I apologize for the misunderstanding TOA TAHU, they mistook you for a RAHI. That trap was set to capture a viscose RAHI beast, not a a valiant hero such as yourself. I'm TURAGA VAKAMA, elder of the fiery village of TA-KORO. TAHU How do know my name? VAKAMA Your arrival has been foretold for thousands of years. We have been waiting for you and the others. TAHU Others? VAKAMA They five are others like you, each with powers of their own. TAHU When do I meet these others? VAKAMA Soon, for right now we must return to our village. TAHU Alright, and what are these "RAHI". VAKAMA The RAHI are viscous creatures under the control of the MAKUTA. They come in all shapes and sizes. TAHU MAKUTA? Who is this "MAKUTA?" VAKAMA Soon, all will be relieved, but this is not the right place, be patient TAHU, the answers will come. MANGAI VOLCANO The group reaches the edge of the forest, the MANGAI VOLCANO can be seen through the trees, JALLER and his group walk ahead to entrance of TA-KORO, The guards at the gates stare awestruck at TAHU as we walks through. They walk until they reach the edge of the cliff. We get a breathtaking view of the village of TA-KORO surrounded by the LAKE OF FIRE. JALLER TA-KORO, no RAHI has ever penetrated it's gates. JALLER yells to a MATORAN inside machinery room. JALLER Raise the bridge! We cut to a room where gears are turning. Stone platforms rise out from the lava lining up and forming a bridge, JALLER and the other members of The TA-KORO GUARD stay behind while TAHU and VAKAMA walk along the bridge. TAHU looks around the inside of the volcano and wonders what could be out there that they would go to such extreme measures of defense. TA-KORO
