The fact is that the success of such units relies heavily on the units that support them. The Type M-24B Walking Tank is such a vehicle. Although much less agile than it's humanoid counterparts, the M-24B is an extremely sturdy weapons platform designed for operation away from the front line of an attack. Whilst standard tracked tanks are generally suited to the role, there are often times when surrounding terrain provides better opportunities for offensive support but normal tracked vehicles cannot pass such terrain (such as hilly areas). The M-24B's superior locomotion system has proven to be the most stable walking tank leg system in service today. The M-24B has many weapons variants, the most favoured being the Anti-Aircraft and Anti-Armour rocket configurations. Both of these primary weapons systems are rated for extremely long range and M-24Bs carry weapon support and targeting systems to match. In case the support formation itself comes under attach the M-24B has a 12mm gattling cannon for suppressing infantry and a deceivingly powerful plasma burst cannon for dealing with battlesuits and light to medium armour.
