As the pinnacle of first class transportation throughout United Space territory, the K-59 has become widely respected as the businessman's preferred mode of official transport. The design is less than forty years old (and is in fact still manufactured) and, whilst generally used between stardocks of a system, can provide personnel transport of many light years through the use of a hyperdrive. 

Internal design features include twin access airlock doors, six luxury passenger seats, a toilet and meal and beverage lockers. Other, external features include an extensive long range communications/scanner array, high density primary and maneuvering thrusters and large intake heatsinks on the forward end of the engines. 

Whilst journeys of up to and exceeeding 24 hours in length are not uncommon, the K-59 is generally used to shuttle important businessmen and upper class individuals for day-trip meetings.
