I hope you don't leave tumblr. I've been here for a long time and have seen so many fandom "takes", ideas, ships, debates etc get out of hand because of people projecting and taking things out of context or just not seeing others intentions, even when stated. Its especially hard when fandom is tied to people's identity. I enjoy your meta essays very much and hope you stick around.

Thank you, this is so true. It’s so strange that people get so pressed about trivial things, instead of perhaps adding to the discourse in a more productive, creative or *at least* more respectful way. No one owes anyone respect or kindness, but when their own argument is about respect…then it gets tricky to even see their point when they fail to stand with what they themselves are preaching.
