Of course! There’s APA’s Free Journal Articles, The American Psychological Association, which provides access to selected articles from many journals. There’s also The Open Psychology Journal, an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal that publishes articles across all areas of psychology.

Frontiers in Psychology is an open-access journal offers rigorous peer-reviewed articles spanning various psychology disciplines. There’s also the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), which is a directory that lists open-access journals from various fields, including psychology. And the Verywell Mind’s Compilation, an article that lists several full-text psychology journals and articles available for free, offering guidance on accessing the latest psychology research.

These are also great if you’re looking to publish! I want to say though that while peer review is generally a positive standard, some of the most groundbreaking insights often come from obscure, unconventional sources. Those hidden corners of the internet where raw, unfiltered ideas emerge. The real challenge (and opportunity) lies in bridging these unconventional perspectives with peer-reviewed research, rather than being confined to a cycle of intellectual reinforcement. True discovery requires a willingness to take risks, to explore beyond the established, and to look within before seeking scholarly validation, which, while valuable, should be a milestone rather than the starting point of your journey. Saying this as a psych researcher myself :).
