The way I felt my heart heavy when I read the tag 'lo-lee-tah' 😭 I watched the film some days ago because I was really curious about it, and honestly to me Mia always had the vibe of Lolita but I never said it because I thought it was kinda rude from me..🥴 Not saying it in a negative way of course, I actually love Mia, for the way she is and the way she's being written by you. Amara and Mia are my favorite so far<3

You should read the book, the films are aesthetically appealing but did a disservice to the novel. This is one piece of art that requires a high level of literacy as it can be misinterpreted. But it’s actually such a great book, when you understand the unreliability of the narrator and how Dolores was essentially silenced.
