Just wanted to say that I actually headcanon Will would behave like Rotten Meat given the opportunity but some people fail to understand that canon has restrictions but it doesn't mean it limits the actual character on their core.

Yes, Bryan said he wanted to avoid certain things for Hannibal and Will’s character, and nbc would not allow many things to be shown. It’s funny how people have a literal mindset of “no see no real”, including obvious things like Bedelia and Hannibal sleeping together or even Hannibal and Anthony. Everything on the show was made to let the audience know without needing to be explicit yet most failed to see it anyway. This just shows how tiring it is to deal with people like this because you need to speak the entire bible for them to understand two paragraphs.
