Am I the only one seeing the double meaning in “Will Graham is not a lesbian?”
1. “Margot, you are a lesbian and you need a lesbian, why did you sleep with a man?? Will Graham is not a lesbian.”
2. “Will would be into women only if he was a lesbian. Why did you sleep with him? He is into men, he is not a lesbian”
yes! word play! they do it constantly on the script! the normal way to phrase this would be “Will Graham is not a woman”, since Margot is a lesbian. To say “Will Graham is not a lesbian” implies he doesn’t want to gender Will, too.
