Oh from the get go haha. Will seemed disinterested in most people and things in general, but he constantly showed interest in Hannibal. But because to him, he knew his interests were dark, and he couldn’t see the darkness in Hannibal at first, he told himself (and Hannibal) he didn’t “find him that interesting”. He didn’t believe he could be interested in anything that wasn’t violent and dreadful. But he was. When his subconscious brought him to Hannibal after losing time, he was already in love. With the understanding, the safety, the connection. It’s why it hit him so hard when he found out he was being lied to. That made him question the entirety of their connection, and only when he learned to separate Hannibal’s actions from Hannibal’s feelings, he was able to accept that he was loved.
