As much as I love Hannigram I think Margot and Alana are really overlooked by the fandom.
Endgame healthy lesbian relationship with a beautiful happy ending. One of them helped the other kill her abuser. Two beautiful femmes. A gorgeous kaleidoscope sex scene. No homophobic treatment from other characters. Truly god tier ship and yet I never hear about them in the fandom spaces
You don’t hear about them in the fandom spaces because either the acting, the writing or/and the directing did this relationship a disservice. We don’t care about them because the show didn’t care about developing their bond. They showed no chemistry whatsoever, they behaved like strangers who fucked, had no actual romantic moments or ANY moments that endeared them to us. It was lazy, random and most of the audience felt ???? about the relationship. Yada yada, they suck and it’s a shame because they had so much potential.
Their scenes were so dry and flat, the relationship sort of fell out of nowhere, no development, and there’s no excuse related to the timeline, they just lazily tried to fix Alana by making her a lesbian. Could’ve been great, instead it was just random and meh. But then again, it was written by a cis male who wrote all women in that show as empty vessels for the male characters plots.
