Hannibal’s writing and acting is so powerful because you fall in love with Hannibal through Will, and you fall in love with Will through Hannibal, but you wouldn’t really love them as they love each other. You may think, “This is fucked up, they shouldn’t meet” and then they meet, and you look at how they smile and you understand. You think “They shouldn’t separate, how can they ever separate? They love each other”
