It is so gratifying to watch Hannibal and Mason’s first meeting. Mason’s just saying the most egregious shit and Hannibal just stares at him blankly in response. You can figuratively see the ’???’ blinking over Mason’s head, like he can’t read Hannibal and be looks so confused and taken off guard. Mason’s probably used to getting a reaction out of people, being an abusive, narcissistic bully. But Hannibal demands all the power in any room he’s in. Mason’s met his match.
