In that scene where Will brings Hannibal Randall’s meat pretending it’s Freddie’s and then they have dinner and share this very friendly, fond smile when they start eating—I like to think that Will’s pretty indifferent towards the cannibalism but he loves Hannibal’s company and that’s why he’s so happy. Hannibal loves that Will’s partaking in his special interest, but also, inadvertently, he also really fucking loves Will’s company. So it’s like, to me, they’re just two guys giggling, kicking their feet because “Wait, I love this dude so much, I love spending time with him”
