I imagine Will being super depressed and quiet post fall. He’s drunk on melancholy and his sarcastic conversations with Hannibal are the only things which make him laugh sometimes.

Hannibal eats a lot of different tropical foods and gets really into South American and South Asian recipes, using many spices and a variety of grains. He has a ton of fun doing that.

Hannibal sees that Will’s sad and having a midlife crisis (it seems he won’t stop being Will’s greatest crisis) and while he’s graceful about giving him space, he’s still Hannibal so he’s possessive (in that he wants control over Will’s life) and intrusive (he manipulates their circumstances to make Will react in some way)

They mostly live near water bodies; oceans or rivers or lakes. Will prefers the ocean because the crashing sound of waves soothes his pain

I imagine Will’s dreams growing more morbid and sensual, and instead of fearing them he experiences them in a sick daze as though he’s having fever dreams. Hannibal doesn’t touch him but Will does; once after waking up, he runs his knuckles down Hannibal’s cheek gently.
