I feel like we give Alana too much grief for getting with Hannibal, but consider this: you see your decades long mentor and friend hung up with a noose round his neck and “crucified”, his blood is rivering towards your feet. You’d be forced to reconcile your relationship with Will Graham too. It’s just that Hannibal is depraved enough to understand this and obfuscate his way into severing her and Will’s connection completely.
