ive seen like, multiple posts about John Gaius as a sexual predator, and i think that while his storyline definitely contains metaphors for sexual violation, he did not actually do that in the book? i’m thinking possibly because he has done a lot of body autonomy violations (one could even say necromancy itself can be a big body autonomy violation), but body autonomy violations are not inherently also sexual -> see: murder, or coercing someone into donating a kidney, or stuffing the soul of the earth inside yourself and when it doesn’t all fit creating a human-ish body for the rest of it. i dunno it just feels weird to make up reasons to hate the guy when he did a lot of other bad things already (running an imperialistic genocidal fascist empire, exploding everyone on earth, exploding mercymorn specifically, locking his wife in a box for 10k years because his polycule voted her out, etc)
