The “you lied to us” scene from Gideon the Ninth: the quote in question is plastered over a painted wall of a lake scene, with willow trees and birds over water. The room would be in darkness, but doors have been opened, splashing golden light on the scene and highlighting Gideon, Harrow and Camilla’s shadows from the doorway. The light draws attention to Ianthe in the centre of the room, laid down nonchalantly on a pillow and covering her face with her hand as she giggles. Her dress, face and hair are splattered with blood - the substance can be seen across the hardwood floors, and on Naberius’ rapier in the foreground. Little over 100 pages into GtN, and I have to say, I really love Dulcinea!! She might be my favorite character besides Gideon, she’s just so interesting.

A digital drawing focused on Harrow, but Gideon and Ianthe are partially visible behind her. Harrow is wearing a dark evening dress with huge, sweeping sleeves that act more as a cape, but the part covering her chest consists of a decorative bone corset that shows off a lot of skin. There is also bone ornamentation on her arms, hands, and ears. Her skull paint is made of dried blood and there is a splatter of it on her collarbone, dripping onto the bone corset. Gideon stands behind her, slightly to the side, and is almost holding hands with Harrow. She is wearing a dark blazer with a yellow button-down shirt, and both are open to reveal her chussy and red body harness. There is some blood splattered over her chest, but much less than Harrow. Most of her face is hidden, but she is sticking her tongue out at Ianthe. Ianthe is mostly out of frame but is identifiable by her purple dress, long gold gloves, pale hair, and smarmy smile.
