the first of four digitally painted landscapes showing locations from videogames, this one being the overgrown ruins of nathema from star wars: the old republic. in the centre is a river with waterfalls in the background and foreground, it is surrounded by dense plants crowding the bank, reddish mushrooms and fat green leaves with purple flowers. among them is a massive cracked pillar carved with a swirling design, and a path of timeworn stairs. high above the river is a narrow metal bridge. water drips from the canopy above.ALT
the second of four landscapes, this one is bjora marches from guild wars 2. gnarled trees with sparse dead foliage and thready roots are silhouetted against a deep forest that recedes into mist and darkness, leaving only dim shapes. the branches cast twisted shadows on a bank of stark white snow in the foreground, and snowflakes are blown across the scene by a strong wind.ALT
the third of four landscapes, this one is inner nayos from guild wars 2. the whole setting is drawn in shades of pale pink and purple and bluish grey— smooth white trees cling to the edge of a stony precipice over a misty white void. among the roots are growing pink-leafed plants and fleshy structures reminiscent of deep sea tubeworms and molluscs. purple foliage hangs from above, scattering leaves into the wind. the scenery recedes into a thick pale fog.ALT
the fourth and final landscape, the ruins of nul on the planet elom from star wars: the old republic. a path winds through formations of warm grey stone, the surfaces capped with light snow. between the rocks there are trees and brush visible, their foliage bright red and the ground scattered with small purple flowers. in the path is a single small obelisk, carved and weathered, and in the foreground is a sunlit pool of greenish water partially submerging a fallen log.ALT
