the amount of foreshadowing for both htn and ntn in the first 20 pages of gideon alone really makes me wonder how much direct foreshadowing we’ve seen for alecto the ninth that we just haven’t picked up on

Is this anything to you people?

reading tlt in 2020: you know what would be romantic. if gideon and harrow made out.

reading tlt in 2023: [awake at 3 am talking out loud to myself alone] … which is why i don’t think this series truly stands to have a “winner” of the ten thousand years of war and pain that brought us to where the story is now even if one group declares a victory over the other, and just because of the nature of so many characters and not only their relationships but their entire beings are so deeply defined by systems of abuse as well as their entire society being based on this, even if john and the empire get struck down permanently (or at least what appears to be permanently (another tangent for another time, might schedule it for next wednesday’s early morning insomnia)) i don’t realistically see it happening without taking down a great deal of the characters left standing and even the ones that could potentially be left would likely have to abandon whatever shreds of themselves they’ve managed to hang onto throughout all this which might be overall worse than death for quite a few of them. you know what would be romantic. if gideon and harrow never actually saw each other again except to explode into a supernova together.

Commission: Mercymorn the First and Augustine the First from ‘The Locked Tomb series’.

I think John Gaius successfully utilized girlpower when he fixed global warming and quality of life inequality, and brought his favorite childhood toy to life, all in the span of one day. Absolutely no further details or points to be said about how he did any of that

liesmyth:

liesmyth:

He solved wealth inequality, fixed overpopulation, and took care of the issue of rising housing prices in the city of Melbourne. He became the de facto leader of the most powerful democracy on earth and dismantled capitalism. He found the answer to several metaphysical questions that have fascinated humanity for centuries, such as “Is there such thing as a soul?” and “Does Pluto count as a planet?” He also ate the sun.

Nobody’s doing it like him

#from a strictly literal standpoint ‘successfully utilizing girlpower’ IS how he did all that  @megparsec

honestly i think mercymorn should be in every media

#mercy should be commentator on espn. she should host great british bakeoff. she should narrate nature documentaries #she should be on sesame street #they should’ve put mercymorn in succession #every one of these would be exponentially better with her presence #the locked tomb#mercymorn the first
